Massey Ferguson Plunger Roller Shaft
The plunger roller shaft supports the plunger cam rollers through the full compression stroke on every baling cycle, operating under continuous high-load cyclical stress at one of the most demanding locations in the plunger drive system. Shaft surface condition at the bearing contact zones directly determines bearing service life — a worn or damaged shaft will cause premature failure of the roller bearings regardless of bearing quality.
Inspect the cam roller, bearing and cam track surface for wear or scoring at the same time, as damage at either location will accelerate wear on the replacement shaft.
