What balers is the HT200A2 compatible with? The HT200A2 works exclusively with Massey Ferguson LB2200 series large square balers — LB2233, LB2234, LB2234XD, and LB2244 — built in 2023 or later. It is not compatible with older model years. If you have a 2021 or 2022 baler, the HT700A may be the right fit.

HT200A2 vs HT700A — which is right for my baler? The HT200A2 is designed for 2023+ LB2200 series balers and has a lower upfront cost because it draws power directly from the baler’s ISOBUS — no tractor power harness needed for the base system. If you later upgrade to automatic applicator functionality, a tractor power harness and additional components would be required at that point. The HT700A is compatible with both 2100 and 2200 series balers from 2021 onwards and includes the tractor power harness from the start, making future upgrades to automatic dye application more straightforward. If you want the lowest entry cost on a newer LB2200, choose the HT200A2. If you want automatic application ready to go, or have an older baler, the HT700A is the better fit.

Do I need a separate display for the HT200A2? No. The system integrates fully into your baler’s existing ISOBUS display. There is no separate monitor to mount or configure.

How long does installation take? Most operators complete installation and activation in under 15 minutes, using the factory-installed plugs and harnesses already on the LB2200 baler.

Is the dye marker included? No, the HT238DM Dye Marker is an optional accessory. When added, it automatically marks high-moisture bales with a food-grade red stripe once per bale occurrence. It is not required to use the base moisture monitoring system.

Can I upgrade to automatic dye application later? Yes. The HT200A2 can be upgraded to a fully automatic applicator system, though this requires an additional tractor power harness and components not included in the base kit.
