Massey Ferguson Hydraulic Filter
The hydraulic filter maintains system cleanliness by removing particulate contamination from the hydraulic circuit, protecting valves, cylinders and seals from abrasive wear. On large square balers, where the hydraulic system governs density door pressure and several ancillary functions, a blocked or bypassing filter accelerates component wear and risks costly hydraulic failures at the worst possible time.
Filter replacement should be carried out at the manufacturer’s recommended service interval without exception — extending filter life to reduce costs is a false economy given the repair costs associated with contaminated hydraulic components.
