Massey Ferguson Knotter Cam Gear
The knotter cam gear is fitted to each individual knotter head, controlling the timing and sequential activation of that knotter’s functions through each knotting cycle. One gear per knotter head is required — four on 4-string balers, six on 6-string balers. Cam gear condition is critical to knotter reliability; worn or damaged teeth introduce timing errors that disrupt the coordination between billhook, twine disc and stripper arm, producing missed or malformed knots at that knotter position.
