Massey Ferguson Flywheel Shearbolt Hub – XD Models
The flywheel shearbolt hub is the primary mechanical safety interface between the flywheel and main driveline. On XD models, where driveline torque loads are significantly higher to achieve increased bale density, precise hub tolerances are critical — ensuring the shearbolt maintains a flush contact point that prevents premature bolt fatigue while guaranteeing a clean shear under plunger obstruction or gearbox overload.
Not interchangeable with standard (non-XD) flywheel hubs — verify model designation before ordering. Inspect shearbolt seating surface for wear or deformation when replacing shearbolts after a shear event.
